Priyanka Chopra as Mary Kom - Racism Still Struck For North East People in Bollywood

So the B-Town or lets say Bollywood is all noisy with Priyanka Chopra playing as Mary Kom, social media with loud shouts for how Priyanka Chopra is coming up with playing a North East Woman who has been recognised as a boxing legend in India but I still smell racism here.

North East citizens have always becomes victims of racism in various metro-politician cities and then one north east woman is finally accepted after years of her hardwork and contribution to Indian sports and then a movie is being planned based on her life. Well, that's perfect but when they select a cast to play for her role, they choose a Punjabi actress in Bollywood. There are thousands of talented, pretty and able women out there in the North East who could potray Mary Kom perfected but why didn't Bollywood give North East Indian actress a chance to be a part of Bollywood?

Yes, there are talented actresses in the North East as well if you're not aware of it but no one has taken an initiative to discover and cast them because the stereotypical Indians think that they don't look Indian enough? North East Indians considered as foreigners in India? Not a new story.

So, Priyanka Chopra playing Mary Kom a perfect match? Not to deny that Priyanka Chopra is an amazing actress but does she match the cultural or lets say the north eastern look of Mary Kom to portray her? Not at all. I still smell racism in Bollywood.
